“I was fascinated by Nina’s clear and extremely interesting lecture on the hero’s journey. Maybe all writer’s have a novel in their heads they want to write one day, and the techniques Nina shared with us will help me when I get to that point. In fact, because of her, I may get there a lot sooner than I had planned.”— Zoe M. Hicks, Saint Simon’s Island, GA

Thanks, Merridy! All writers can benefit from the Alien Guidebook series… The series came from my observations of what every writer needs: from the expertise of many professional writers and editors to my own experiences in my writing career and what I learned as I taught writing for over two decades. The third in the series, “The Ecology of Story: World as Character”, is coming out in June 2019 with much anticipation.

Hello Nina thank you. Thank you so much for you video too. Also thank you for the distinction in the difference of meaning in the words writer and author. I think…in Bahasa Indonesia language they mean…a published writer when they use the word “penulis”. meaning a writer…they actually must mean an author…when they say “menulis” it means the act of writing…hmmmm. I am not an language expert so now I have something to ask the experts in Bahasa Indonesia. 😊 Salam, all the best to you.
